The book "Grapes of Wrath" used to be mandatory high school reading. In it is a phrase rarely heard anymore: "Buying at the company store".
Ten corporations own somewhere around 87% of the world's weath, control 76% of the land in the US, and are well on the way to full control of the world's food and water supply. they also take turns sending their people to run the US government and allow them to return to the corporate structure as advisors with more pay than anyone needs. running Citizens that were once charged to be armed for defense, are now charged if they are. The once-voluntary military has been replaced with civilian contractors - upholding national law and protecting the interests of the corporation instead of the US and her citizens.
Keep saying "it ain't so"
